Valdosta Housing Authority
Website
The Valdosta
Housing Authority is located in
beautiful south central Georgia,
about 30 miles from the Florida
line. The City of Valdosta is a
progressive, rapidly growing new
metropolitan city in Georgia located
on Interstate 75.
The Valdosta
Housing Authority owns and operates
546 units of public Housing within
the City of Valdosta, assisting
families from all walks of life in
providing decent, safe and
affordable housing.
The Valdosta
Housing Authority’s mission is to
serve our clients in the most
effective way possible, in fostering
a great living environment and
providing a hand up – not a hand
out! We do not provide temporary or
emergency shelter – and typically
our waiting list averages 2 months.
A six-member
Board of Commissioners, appointed by
the Mayor, for a five-year term,
governs the Housing Authority. The
Board meets on the third Tuesday of
each month at noon, and all meetings
are open to the public.
