The Valdosta Housing Authority Senior Citizen Outreach Coalition, a collaboration primarily composed of Commissioner Deborah White and the Lowndes Drug Action Council ( LODAC) Staff, worked to make Valentines Day 2021 a little “Sweeter” for 15 of our beloved Seniors, by hand-delivering gifts and goody bags on February 11th. The Volunteers, in an effort to bring some joy and happiness to our seniors during this challenging time, delivered gift bags that included lip gloss, crackers, candy, lotion and balloons to these fine 15 ladies. VHA Commissioner White, and LODAC intern Christy McGow also provided some singing entertainment for our Seniors, as the packages were delivered! It was a happy day, and as Commissioner White stated, ” We had a Grand Time showing our love for the Seniors” We appreciate their volunteering spirit and all that they do for our community!!
